In July 2015 Petro Poroshenko appointed Lieutenant-General Valeriy Kondratyuk the Deputy Head of General Department of Defense Intelligence under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Before Valeriy Kondratyuk headed the Department of counterintelligence of Security Service of Ukraine.
Ministry of Defense declined journalists’ request about Valeriy Kondratyuk’s declaration for 2015, on ground of confidentiality of information about officials involved in intelligence activities. Valeriy Kondratyuk’s declaration for 2014 is not published. In the declaration for 2013 he showed personal income of UAH 366 000, a flat (140 m2) and 10 ares land plot. His family had two land plots – 15 and 9,5 ares. However, Mr. Kondratyuk didn’t include the 484 m2 estate in his declaration.
The house is located in closed cottage village ‘Konyk’ in Golosiyevo district of Kyiv. Valeriy Kondratyuk got property rights for it in 2012. Thus, this realty had to be declared in 2013.
Next to Valeriy Kondratyuk’s house there is an estate of Yana Gruzynska, ex-head of Department of accommodation procurement for Armed Forces servicemen.
To remind, earlier ‘Nashi Groshi’ program presented information about the estate of Viktor Gvozd, ex-Head of Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. His estate is located on 0,7 ha land plot in Gorbovychi village near Kyiv. Till 2009 the earmarking of Gvozd’s land was ‘for farming’.
In 2015 Ukrainian Parliament voted a set of changes to legislation according to which giving false facts in declaration is a criminal offense.
